NEXT MPRO MEETING
The orchestra’s next meeting will be held on Monday, October 7th at 7pm.
CONDUCTOR’S CORNER
Dear members of the Mid-Peninsula Recorder Orchestra,
I am pleased to announce that MPRO will be presenting a holiday concert at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 14, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1106 Alameda de las Pulgas at Howard Avenue in San Carlos. The dress rehearsal for this concert will take place at Trinity Presbyterian Church at 7:00 P.M. on Friday December 13. I encourage all MPRO members to take part in this concert, so please mark the dress rehearsal and concert dates on your calendar. Also, please remember that small ensembles are welcome to perform in this concert. You will find further information in upcoming issues of the orchestra’s newsletter.
Listed below is the music scheduled for the next three meetings of the orchestra. Please note that great bass and contrabass recorders will be needed at all three meetings, sopranino recorder on October 7 and November 4. bassoon on October 7 and October 21 and krummhorns on October 21 and November 4. Everyone is asked to practice and become familiar with the music scheduled for these meetings. For those who are located too far to attend in person, these meetings will be streamed via Zoom. Ray White will be sending out invitations to all MPRO members with links to these hybrid Zoom meetings. Please contact him at <rayhwhite@yahoo.com> if you do not receive an invitation. Finally, I am happy to let you know that Greta Haug-Hryciw will be returning this season to direct the meeting on October 7 while I am out of town. Greta has stood in for me over several seasons , and I am sure you will enjoy working with her.
