NEXT MPRO MEETING
The orchestra’s
next meeting will be held on Monday, May 19th at 7:00pm.
CONDUCTOR’S
CORNER
Dear members of
the Mid-Peninsula Recorder Orchestra,
Listed below is the music for the
orchestra’s next meeting on May 19. Please note that great bass and contrabass
recorders as well as bassoon and krummhorns will be needed at this meeting. As
a reminder, the orchestra’s spring concert has been scheduled for
2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 28, at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center in
Redwood City, and small ensembles are encouraged to appear in this concert.
Those groups that intend to perform in the spring concert on June 28 are asked
to send me the following information at their earliest convenience but no later
than June 13: the title(s) of the music to be performed, the name(s) of the
composer(s), the name of the ensemble (if any) and the names of the ensemble’s members.
May 19
Anonymous: Planctus quem Virgo Maria facit
Passereau: Il est bel
et bon
Debussy: Sarabande
I look forward to
seeing you at this meeting and working on this music with you. Please let any
of your friends who play early instruments know about the orchestra’s varied activities
and invite them to attend an MPRO meeting or concert.
Sincerely,
Fred Palmer
